And this stunning picture quality is made available in a 16:9 aspect ratio. This means that the AW notebook's extra-widescreen display offers a much wider workspace than standard PC displays — perfect for creative professionals and those who require more viewing real estate. .
Blu-ray Disc™ technology
Select VAIO® AW notebooks feature Blu-ray Disc™ technology, and you have two ways of utilizing this entertainment and storage technology. Choose the Blu-ray Disc optical drive for HD video playback2 and up to 50GB of data storage to a single Blu-ray Disc media — that's 5 times the capacity of a standard DVD. Or choose the Blu-ray Disc ROM drive to enjoy HD video playback only. Both Blu-ray Disc-enabled drives also deliver the read/write utility of a CD/DVD drive.
Head-turning design
With an 18.4" form factor1 this notebook is already set to turn heads. Add to that its surprisingly slim chassis and iconic cylindrical hinge, and you have everything you'd ever want from a desktop all packed into an attractive PC.
